I. i"Yaitae Koop' (Egg cooperative) headquarters are located at Noe 56 Alabin Street
in Sofia. The organization acquires, by voluntary transfer$ eggs and small numbers
of live poultry from peasants and poultry farmers. About 35 workers are elployedo

2. Branch offices of the Egg Cooperative are located in 30 or 10 of the major tcwa

The Popovo branch of the Egg Cooperative is located in a small masonry building at
No. I Stalin Streets The building houses both the offices and the storage space of
the cooperative. Normally two clerks and six workers are employed, and an additional
10 to 12 workers are added during the peak season.

5. The headquarters and administrative offices of Koop Khrana (Food Cooperative) are
located at No. 16 Pozitano Street in Sofia, in the vicinity of Sveta Nedelya Church
in the center of the city. The cooperative is composed of 12 former restaurant

who is a former waiter.
6* The cooperative procures viscera from the slaughterhouses for the preparation of
`,ze Bulgarian national dish known as 14Shkembe Chorbaa'
(Viscera Soup). It sells
the "Sbikembe Chorba41 at the refreshment counter of the cooperative for resale to
the public in 10 or 12 shops scattered throughout the city. A normal portion costa
0.80 leva and a double portion costs lo60 levao
7. When the cooperative was formed (after nationalization of the restaurant industry),
the members contributed the equipment of their former property and floated a loan
for initial capita.; this loan was later repaid out of the profits. At present the
member.-as have to pay in 700 leva for working capital,, with monthly payments of 20
