Division.Prora. with the let A-Kommanndo at Prora, the 2d A-Kamnando
at Rostock and the 4d A-Kommando in Schwerin; the stations of ?Jhe other
units were unknown.

command of Major Boerner (fnu) and consisted cf 3 heavy AAA. batteries
with 4 x 85-m Soviet AA guns each, and 3 light AAA batteries with
4 x 37-mm Soviet AA guns each. The undo at Eggesin consisted of
3 heavy batteries with 6 x 152-mm Soviet guns to each batters and 3
medium batteries, each equipped with 6 x 122-cm Soviet guns~
1. I ornmentn Major General Rentzsch, Colonel von Witzleben,3 Colonel 25X1
?ltsc and Lieutenant Colonel Patter were confirmed in their previously
known assignments. Datailed information on von Witzleben was reported
previously. According to another report 25X1
of November 1953, Lieutenant Colonel Riedel, von :fs c:;.; ~::n' predecessors
was promoted to the rank of colonel and made chief of staff of Mechanized
Bereitschaft Potsdam,

Koraanddos, after transferring three AAA batteries each to TV 24 and
Mechanized Bereitschaft Potsdam about late June, corAsted of 6 batteries
each0 If it is assumed that the present report is corrects the two
Kommandos involved must have undergone a complete re-organization in
the course of which the two AAA Kammandos which previously were
homogeneous in their equipment were remodeled after the pat-ern of a
Soviet mechanized division.

transferred to TV 12 newly organised in Schwerin. The A asmmandos
of Bereitschaft Schwerin are stationed in Schwerin-Sternbuchholz9 Rostock
and Prora; its headquarters, reconnaissance and sigw,l A'oteilungen In
Schwerin, while all the other component units of the Bereitschaft are
believed to be still stationed in Frorao CO of the Bereitschaft is Colonel

Eggesin are not located in Eggesin but it Karpin (Installation 111I); the
same applies to the mortar Kamr?,ando of the Fereitschaft, The rec:orn aissance
Abteilunga signal Abteilung and the rear services of the Bereits-ck :ft are
still stationed in Eggesin, There isa possibility that the engineer
battalion vacated Fuenfeicheno
9.l C . t, According to the last report on B-Kawando Eggesain
dated surmier 1953, this Kommando of Aechanized Bereitsachaft Eggesin was
exclusively equipped with 122--man guns. Only the B-:Komaaando of TV 12 had
l52-nm gum, Just as the Koanxnandos mentioned in Field Cent 2,, the
B-Kcanaaando of Mechanized Bereitschaft Eggesin transferred 3 batteries in
early July, According to the, above-mentioned report the B--rdo
retained 3 battalions with 3 batteries each,, Each of the batteries was
equipped with 4 guns,
