1. On 30 November 1953. the Flak K:aserne, Wismar., was heavily occupied by t ope wearing
red-bordered black epaulets wit%i 'artillery and tank insignia and back-bordered black
epaulets with signal Insignia. -&t about 2 p.m. on 21 Iiover:.bera 2 trucks towing field
kitchens, 2 ambulances, .I radio truck, 3 trucks towing 3 x 76.- ma field guuns~ 3 trucks
carrying boxes, and 4 trucks, each occupied by about 20 troops, entered the
installation from the direction of the town. Between 22 and 30 November,, about 400
troops wearing black-bordered crimon epaulets daily left the installation toward the
airfield. They returned between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. Intensive training activity was
observed in the installation. In the.morning, 60 to 70 troops wearing black-bordered
crimson epaulets daily practicing aiming and throwing of hand grenades at the drill
ground, while, in the afternoon, troops wearing red-bordered black epw lets engaged
in physical training and training at the obstacle course. about 80 troops daily
practiced marksmanship in the Koepernitztal training area. Between 22 and 30
NNov ber., about 70 troops wearing black-bordered black epaulets and corning from the
detached buildings, north of Highway No 105 were daily observed marching, to the
installation for dinner at about 1 p.m. The two detached buildings were surrounded
by a board fence, about 2 meters high. The rnofs were connected by antennas. Source,,
as previously, daily observed uniformed women wearing black-bordered crimson and
red-bordered black epaulets in the barracks area, They were 19 to 21 years old.
2. Between 22 and 23 November, the three ammunition bunkers south cf the Flak Kaserne
were heavily guarded. Dogs were also observed in the guarded area.
30 Between 22 and 30 November, source determined that work on the by-pass rode] from St
Jakob, f, Highway No 105, to Gustavshof, Highway No 106, continued. The new road
had two lanes, each about 5 to 6 meters wide and with a green strip between the
lanes, On 30 November, work was completed about 50 percent, with the road being
completed as far as Infanterie Ka.serne.

were granted town leave only on Sundays between i p.m. and 8 p.m.
