REFERENCES THE SOURCE EVALUATIONS IN THIS REPORT ARE DEFINITIVE. THE APPRAISAL OF CONTENT IS TENTATIVE. (FOR KEY SEE REVERSE) 1. the Paris Commune Shipyard at Gdynia handed over three NYSA-type ships built at the yard to the Soviet Maritime Mission, Four. such ships have already been launched.. and are due to be handed over to the Soviets before the end of the year. Three other NYSA-type ships are on the slips and practically ready for launching. When a ship is handed over'to the Soviet Maritime Mission, Soviet crews board her, and a red stripe . withha miser and sickle is painted on the funnel., During trials the ship is manned by Polish crews. 2. Shipyard personnel are obliged to participate in antiaircraft defense exercises 3. which take place regularly once a week on the shipyard grounds. The presence of the employees at these exercises is strictly enforced. The exercises which were introduced at the beginning of autumn are to 25X1 be preparationsfor war, 25X1 Persons entering the shipyard grounds must have a pass in. which the area and time the holder is allowed to stay there are accurately described.
