Lead and tin from the'Rhodope Mines and iron from Eliseyna are sent to Germany.. Czechoslovakia, and the USSR. Copper from Eliseyna and uranium from the Bukhovo and Rhodope (Naretsen) Mines are sent to the USSR. 2. A small chemical factory, making paints and aniline dyes, is operating in Sofia. There are plans in Moscow for the construction of a modern factory for the same purpose. Intensive work with machinery is being conducted in Sofia for the completion of the big hotel on Lenin Square opposite the Ministry of National Health. Just opposite the Ministry of National Health, the building of the Ministry of Heavy Industry is being erected. Both are six story buildings. 4. In Lom, a large building intended for a warehouse is being reconstructed. 5. A large store for children's goods has opened in Sofia. It is the largest store of this kind in Bulgaria, and is located on Alexander Stambuliski Street opposite the DSNM (Dimitrovski Suyuz na Narodnata MLadezh; Dimitrov's Union of the People's Youth) building. In Pleven there is a vegetable and fruit canning factory. 25X1 eight ZIS trucks of the 4-ton military type. They were loading canned goods for the Army. 10. In the "Kaili.ka" amusement center at Pleven, 25 officers of high 25X1 and low rank. All were Russians returning f rom maneuvers and were staying in Bulgaria for rest and recreation. all the Russians 25X1 totalled 2500 men. They carried out maneuvers on the Black Sea coast of Rumania, came to Varna to test small fast boats, and then for leave in Bulgaria. Five of the fast boats tested belonged to Bulgaria.
