According to a rumor in East Berlin a general strike is due
to take place on 1 February. The police has allegedly been alerted
but is not expected to be able to prevent the strike.
L Count: The above information fits in with the number of
o ,er reports indicating a high degree of tension among the SED,
KVP and the Soviets all of whom have taken precautionary measures
against the reoccurrence of another 1117 June.'!
