at Puetnitz airfield in early December 1953 and that the commanding officer
of the unit was Colonel Lernikov(fnu). This unit as alloted funds for the
construction of garages.l
20 On 4 December, a total of 25 MG--15s or U- MG-15s were parked at various dis-
persal areas at the field. Between 8 a.m. and 3 p.mes there was individual flying
and flying by elements of twos. The weather was cloudless. On 12 December, no fly-
ing was observed at the field. There was ground fog. On 13 December, only an alert
flight of 4 aircraft was seen at the field. Between 9:30 a.m. and ngon on 14 Decem-
ber, individual flying and firing at sleeve targets was practiced. During air
activity, the Token--type radar set was in operation.

Comment. The existence of aTodtet-tyre radar set is confirmed. The set is
located about 500 meters east of Koeppenberg (hill).

Neubrandenburg is being vacated. The fighter regiment stationed there is prob-
ably being transferred to Puetnitz. The former Noviet instruction regiment of
the VPL (Aeroclub) will probably be retransferred to its previous post at 5X1 B
