SUPPLEMENT TO REPORT NO. 25X1X 7- 1. During 1953 70 billion International Units of penicillin were exported from East Germay to North Korea. No other export of antibiotics took place during 1953. 2. The 1954 export plan provides for the export of 750 billion International Units of penicillin and no export of other antibiotics. The breakdown of the 1954 penicillin export is as follows: a. Contracts have been concluded with the North Korean government for the delivery of 82 billion International Units of calcium- salt-penicillin. b. Contracts have been concluded with the Bulgarian government for delivery of 156 billion International Units of sodium- salt-penicillin. c. No contracts have been made as yet concerning the disposal of the remaining 512 billion International Units of penicillin.
