the Chinese -Connunists established a weather station approxi-
ma e y two males north-northwest of Iluikcxng. (N 27-39, E 117-52) on the site of
the former Chinese Nationalist Wu I (2976/1138).weather observation station..
The weather observation station was staffed by an anti-aircraft unit of approxi-
mately 100 men who were quartered in caves and temples in the vicinity.
