When dredging operations planned in Wismar harbor in. 1954 were cancelled by the
government-without' explanation1 inquiries' were~initiated"to determine the volume
of dredging'capacitY thus made available. Source learned that the 750 workers
previously employed on these dredging operations, here scheduled, to be employed
on dredging., operations in the Oder River stretch,.-for which the Poles were
responsible,and. that Walter Keul, of the State Se'cr.etariat, Shipping, would
go to Warsaw to discuss this subject.,
