At about 10 a.m. on 4 January, about 400 troops were engaged-in combat training on the training grounds behind the installation. Infantry firing was heard fromthe Carlshorst firing Roeblin Lake. There was still an intensive vehicular traffic. Between 2 and 11 January, no changes were observed in the occupation of the barracks installation at Castaven Lake.
