On 14 December 1953, the Britz cantonment, Eberswalde, was occupied by about.
1?,000 to 1,200 troops wearing red bordered black epaulets with artillery.in-

On 1,4 December, the Artilleris Kaserne was.occupied..by about 2,000 to 2,200 troops
wearing red bordered black epaulets, including some with artillery and tank
insignia. Between 6 and 14 December, 300, to 400 troops almost -daily receive drill
and trainin in firing in the barracks area and engaged i f -the construction t tions in the terrain. Motor vehicles 25X1
were seen entering and leaving the installation,
On 14 December, the Schuetzen Kaserne was occupied by about 2,000 to 2,200 troops
wearing red-bordered black epaulets with artillery and tank insignia.; Between
6 and 14 December, 2.T.)4 tanks engaged in driving practice and about 200 troops
in drill and training in firing in the-quartering area. Motor vehicles 0 25X1
which included 2 radio cars, were ob-
served.
On 14 December, the cantonment on Breitscheidt S rase was occupied by about 400
to 500 troops wearing blue-bordered black epaulets. Source did not observe any
training activity. Vehicle sheds were under construction and telephone equipment
was - stored there.
