At about 4:30 p.m. on 29 December 19539 soldiers engaged in routine duty. Numerous vehicles stood in the installation. Sentries observed wore black-bordered black epaulets and were equipped with submachine guns, trucks, includi two with pontoons, entered the installation from the direction of Cracau Intensive traffic of personnels including 10 officers with black service color, was observed' between Seeckt Kaserne and 7uckerbusch Kaserne. At about 11930 a.m.. on 31 December, 5 -roups of soldiers, presumably recruits, each of 6 to 8 men wearing black-bordered black epaulets receiv t niw, in the terrain under the supervision of an engineer lieutenant. 2. During the period of observation, the Nachrichten Kaserne was occupied to capacity. At about 11:45 a.m. on 31 December, 2 officers wearing; red-bordered black epaulets and about 40 EM wearing red-bordered black epaulets and pulling 4 x 120--gym mcrtars ~ 5X1 entered the installation, coating from the Kleine Anger. About 80 to 100.soldiers fell in in front of one of the barracks buildings.
