1. In August 1953 the First Municipal Middle School was the most completely equipped
middle school in Nanking. Persons arriving in Nanking from the.USSR or the
satellite countries who were interested in schools. usually inspected the. First
Municipal Middle School. There were two classes with Soviet instructors for
Overseas Chinese studying the Russian language at the school.

3. All students attending the school were members of the New Democratic Youth Corps.
Other organizations in the school were the Sino-Soviet Friendship Association
and the Students' Association.
Comment In general tie students disliked these meetings because they
fioieend work to do in preparing their regular school assignments.
