1. The headquarters of the Pursuit Brigadel is located about three kilometers south-
east of. Tirana just below the Tirana-Elbasan road. It is subordinate to the Border
Guard Directorate of the Ministry of Interior. The Commanding Officer is Colonel
C-deli ARGJIRI.
. The Pursuit Brigade consists of the following units: 43 Battalion in Puke (Q.B.
47-2O), 75 Battalion in Shenpal (Q.B. 54-99), 39 Battalion in Tirana near the.
Brigade headquarters, and a fourth battalion in Gramsh (Q.M. 58-88).
3. The 43 Battalion has companies in Kukes (Q.B. 89-24), Bicaj, (Q.B. 89-11), a),c7
}. ke. The 75 Battalion has two companies in Shenpal and one company in Ribig
N.G. 31-91). The 39 Battalion has one company near the Stalin Textile Factory,
another in the Tirana area, and a third at Mamuras (q.G. 25-69).
4. The task of the Brigade is to combat resistance groups and enemy agents, and to
quell uprisings. Its personnel consists of persons who have completed their reg-
ular tour of duty inthe Army and have demonstrated loyalty to the regime. They
volunteer for a three year tour.

Comment :
1. This is carried on the latest Army Order of Battle Summary as the Special
Pursuit Brigade located at Tirana; a second Brigade is located at Tepelene.
