1. During the last ten days of October 1953, one age group was released from
regular service in the navy. The majority of them were directed by the
navy to the merchant marine.1
2, The S.S. PUCK is scheduled for an overhaul in the second half of November
1953. On completion she is due to be handed over to the navy as an aux-
iliary ship.
