1. On 4 February 1954, the Flak Kaserne in Wismar was heavily occupied.
On 12 January, a SU-76 left the installation toward town. It returned at
about 2 p.m. At about 9:30 a.r. on 17 January, 14 trucks, each occupied bi
16 to 18 soldiers wearing black-;..ordered crizason epaulets moved out of the
installation. They returned at about 3 p.m. At about 2:30 pu:~.. on 18 January,
a jeep, 8 trucks each occupied by 16 soldiers wearing black-bordered crimson
epaulets and 2 trucks towing 85-.mm AT guns and each occupied by 16 soldiers
with black-bordered on-:son epaulets and 1 SU-76 entered the insLalla tion
coinin from the direction of Sc 25X1
On 21 January, 1 jeep and 6 trucks tow Inc 85-m;:i A guns
entered the instaallation from the direction o the town. Between
1 January and 4 February, about 180 to 200 soldiers wearing black--:.iord..red
crimson epaulets daily left the installation, heading for the former Dornier
airfield. They used to return between 5 and 6 p.m. About 70 to 80 soldiers
wearing red-bordered block epaulets daily marched out, of the installation for
carbine firing with live ammunition at the former German t..-.-get range on
Floether Wag, just south of Rostock,--r Strasse, at the eastern exit of the town,
near the military cemetery, The soldiers returned in the afternoon. About 70
soldiers wearing black-oordered crimson epaul is practiced aiming in the north-
eastern corner of the installation every morning. On 4 February, construction 25X1
work, apparently reconditionin : work on of the barracks buildini~s wA
continued.
After daily sharpshooting practice at the former German target range on
Floether Weg had been transferred, no trai:iing activity waa: noticed in
Koepernitztal and on the aforemuntioned target range.
3. On 4 February, the residences north of Highway No 105 were occupied by a
signal unit. Sentries obse_'ved wore black-..ordered black epaulets with signal
insignia. About 60 to 70 soldiers wearing blac.-bordered black epaulets c :ith
signal insignia left the two houses almost daily at noon, heading for the
barracks installation. They were presumably going for dinner.
4. the new road by-pass north of Wismar,.which 25X1

had temporarily been stopped because of the heavy frost.
