C en . The air force fuel depot at Aken had the following supply traffic
in the fourth quarter of 1953:
Incoming Shipments
Outgoing Shipments
October 221 tank cars with 5,55C metric tons 183 tank care with an undetermin-
ed number of tons
November 62 tank cars with 1,210 metric tons 43 tank cars with 860 metric toni3
December 106 tank care with 2,600 metric tons 181 tank care with 3,340 metric tarn
The volume of incoming shipments, like that of outgoing shipments, both indicated
by bons, were on the some level. The increased deliveries in October result
from the high fuel consumption during the Soviet Army maneuvers in tie Thuringian
area which involved many elements of the Twenty-Fourth Air Army.
