OF PAGES REQUIREMENT NO. REFERENCES 1. InI ships in the Russian service brought a total of approximately 9,000 tons of Russian coal into Sassnitz. It was officially reported that these ships carried the coal from Riga, but actually, this coal was loaded into the 0 ships in Gdansk (Danzig) from two Russian ships which brought the coal from Riga. 2. Russian coal is also brought into Gdansk from Ventspils and Klaipeda (Memel), as well as Riga, and then transshipped to other East German ports such as Rostock and Warnemuende. This Russian coal costs twice as much as the same grade of Polish coal.
