THIS IS UNEVALUATED INFORMATION
1,, During October or November 1953 Polish military units returned to
Sta.linogrod from summer camps. The returning units ere-motorized
infantry, equipped with self-propelled guns, 105-mm .,ield guns and 126-mm
howitzers. Also observed were sixteen type--34 tanks, and seven type-42
tanks; the tanks were equipped with 76-mm antitank guns. A large
_
number of jet aircraft flew over during the review.
2~ A group of USSR mining experts arrived in Stalinogrod during-October
or November. The experts contacted the Ministry of Mining there. The
purpose of their visit was not known.
