Hatibor., iae, there and the other in the southern section of the
towns The doublle-track Oderberg-Heydebreok railroad line crosses the'Oder River
on an old steel bridge which suffered major damages during the war, Aitbdigh the
bridge was repaired after 1945, its load capacity is still impaired and trains
must slow down when crossing the brridge. In the spring of 1953, work on A new
railroad bridge was. started southeast of the latter bridge, In November 1953"
four river piers and the abutments were under, construction,, The bridge will be
about lie long and will carry two tracks. After coxpletion of the new .railroad
bridge, the old bridge will allegedly be dismantle . There. is a double-track
railroad line from Oppein to Oderberg via Ratibor,,

the Oder River near Ratibor is received for the first time. The bridge is on
the important double-track Heydebreck-Ratibor-.Oderberg railroad line,, The
previoust railroad .bridge at Ratibor was bu. l.t single-track in 164,/45 and
double-tacked in 1907. This bridge, an iron structure with six piers, has an
?overLall-length of 99m,
