5. The military medical course has approximately the same curriculum as the general
medical course, except that more hours are devoted to surgery and first aid. A
:great deal of time is also given to physical culture. Students in this depart-
ment must pass a very thorough loyalty test.

b, Various restrictions apply to medical schools only. A student is allowed to
double the first year only by special permission from the Ministry of Health.
A student is not allowed to double any of the other years. `There are no final
examinations. Each subject is examined at the end of the year during which it
was studied. The student who passes all the examinations successfully receives
the title of doctor.
