THE APPRAISAL OF CONTENT IS TENTATIVE. (FOR KEY SEE REVERSE) 2. Eighteen to twenty Albanian vessels of the trawler type which are generally used for carrying cargo between Albanian coastal towns. 3. The a Q, (Red Star) which conducts marine research off the Albanian coast. This vessel carries a complement of three Russian technicians, two Albanian technicians, two Sigurimi officers armed with bren guns and eight crew members. The Ylbg KTQ is 16 meters long, has an estimated speed of six knots. The ship has `a raked bow with a short sprit and a raised forecastle head. The mast has ratlines and the boom has a sail of an unknown cut. The engine room casement is raised with the stack placed to the aide of this' casement. The pilothouse is immediately abaft the engine room casement. Two small boats on davits are mounted at the quarters. There is an unarmed pilot boat stationed at Skele (Vlone) which guides ships Into the harbor. Vessels from satellite countries knowing the channel into Skele are not met by this pilot boat. The fishing fleet of Vlone consists of eight motor-powered fishing boats about six meters in length. 1?i addition there are fifty small fishing boats fitted with large ie.r;.=rrs'to ttrabt fish at night. The fleet is permitted to fish in Vione Boy 1' in a I small atea, immedigLte ?auraou ding the ;,poftfl4f Himare. A motor launch parrying the Director.of'the Fishing Cooperative and a mechanic, both of whom are armed th pistols, follows the fleet. The launch is about four meters long and it Ia said to have a "silent motor" and capable of nine knots,. 6.
