(FOR KEY SEE REVERSE) ffiu ar beet harvest, Because of the exceptionally dry season the sugar beet harvest' was, very poor. The sugar content was high but the beets were very small. At the beginning of Nolrember sugar beet harvesting was far from completed, and it is not believed that quotas will be fulfilled. Potatoes. The potato crop was quite good but the potatoes themselves were small and of poor quality. Because of the dryness of the season they were soft and spotty, the majority being only fit for cattle fodder. 3. Second cutting of halo There was no second hay harvest this year as the grass had all dried up because of the droughte and. a considerable shortage of hay is therefore expected. 4. Fall fruit crop. The late fruit crop was very good, especially that of pluses ; 5. Fall s*yLq&. Because of the drought no winter rye or wheat had been sown by the and of October.
