1. A group of 180 persons, including physicians, nurses, engineers, and
technicians, is to leave soon for China. The first group of 22 persons has
already left.
2. Applicants.for positions in the group are numerous because of the high
salaries paid. A nurse or laboratory assistant with a secondary professional
education will earn 4,000 leva (ten times the salary in Bulgaria), a physician
will earn 7,800 lava, and an engineer will earn 8,200 leva. One half of each
salary will be paid in Bulgaria in local currency, and the other half will be
paid in China in Chinese currency.
3. Applicants who are accepted for the group must agree to work in China for
two years.
