1. The Elblag Motor Vehicle Repair Workshops (Elblaskie Zaklady Napraw Samochodo cht
former Buessing Works) are located on the southern outskirts of Elblag (SlbiAg),,
on the Elblag Canal. In 1945, the Russians looted the machinery from these works,
but the Poles put the plant back into operation,
2. Until 1952, the plant only repaired military vehicles of American origin (Stude-
baker, Dodge, Ford, Willys, etc.). Since 1952p when these vehicles went out of
use in the Polish Army and were allocated to State enterprises, the plant con-
tinued these repairs for State enterprises throughout Poland. Because these
obsolete vehicles are soon to be scrapped, the plant will reorganize their work-
shops for repairs of military vehicles of Russian and Polish manufacture.
At present the plant employs about 1,000 workmen, working in two shifts.
