A new "side slip" (slip do bocznego) of about 130 meters in length is being con-
structed for the navy in the Gdansk Shipyard opposite the five slips which are
there now (see 'sketch' belowi). ' this new slip will
permit a newly-constructed ship to be launched sideways instead of by the stern.
