4. On 6 N'arch, the barracks installation in Jena-LoebEtedt quartered an estimated
1,50C troops who wore tank or artillery insi nia. Trooi)s trained with. 5 n of
about 76 mm in the barracks yard,
5. On 6 March, the barracks installation in Jena-Zwaetzen was occupied by about

6. The Forst Kaserne (8225) quartered about 250 soldiers on 6 March. About 20C sol-
diers wore arti?lsry insignia and about 50 signal insignia. The troops seemed
to be very young. The Polizei Ka3erne was about 75 percent occupied by an
estimated 700 troops.
On 8 March, the barracks installation in Loebstedt was occupied by ab t 2-000
troops who en'raged in intensive v tx at the installation.

9. On 18 February, a colwnn of about 85 trucks fully occupie by troops with full.
pack passed through Jena toward Kahia. Thirty of the trucks towed ezns:',i field
guns. During the rights Y etwen 18 February and. 5 March heavy Arun fire was
heard - rom a southwesterly direction. a large-scale exer-
cise had been conducted in the Kahla - Rothenstoin - Schorba - Bucha - Magda3 .
