REPORT Russian Buses in East Berlin DATE DISTR. 30 April 1954 NO. OF PAGES 1 REQUIREMENT NO. RD REFERENCES THE SOURCE EVALUATIONS IN THIS REPORT ARE DEFINITIVE. THE APPRAISAL OF CONTENT IS TENTATIVE. (FOR KEY SEE REVERSE) The former USIG buses are now used. by the Russian Trade Delegation. There are still about 32 German employees of USIG in Russian services. These are, mostly drivers and cleaning women, but probably include 12 clerical employees. They continue to work in the Karlshorst compound. 2. The former USIG buses run on the following schedule: 0700 leave Karlshorst for the Embassy building (Trade Delegation), Inter den Linden; 1200 leave Unter den Linden for Kabelwerke, Lichtenberg, Neue Bahnhofstrasse (where the Russian personnel of the Trade Delegation allegedly have a mess); 12301240 leave Kabelwerke for Unter c[th. Linden; 1830 leave Unter den Linden for Karlshorst. A total of five buses are used-by the Trade Delegation.
