1. Construction of the $ztalinvLros-Komlo Ploe electric main started in Spring 1952
and was completed as far as Picsvl,rad by Mrs 1953.
2. T}e work wa executed by the I Undertaking for Line Constructions (I.sz.
Tavvezetek bpitg Vallalat), while the two branch lines Bonyh.d-Koml6, Vasas-
Kom16 were constructed by the III Undertaking.
3. Leading personalities of the I Undertaking for Line Construction are:
Director; Vilmos Pajze.
Construction Engineer: drprLd Dolesan.
Electrical Engineer: Frigyes Engel.
4. Maintenance.of electri?al mains is carried out by the Transmission Line
Maintenance Company (Tavvezetek Karbantarto Vallalat) and the Transmission Line
Painting Company (Tavvezetek Mazolo' Vallalat).
5. The Sztalinvaros-Komlo-PAcs main forms an integral part of the country's high
tension circuit (OrsAgos KorhAlozat).
6. Two types of supporting columns (Stutztrgger) were built, namely, the standard
supports on two feet and the so-called span supports on four feet (e.g. at
points of change in the alignment), The supports were built into concrete

sockets. The former were assembeld from prefabricated units, the finished
components for which were delivered from the two factories for light iron
constructions 'Kenny! Vasezerkezetek GyAra) in Kiskunfelegyhaza and
Kiskunhalas.
7. The line runs in straight alignment, wherever possible avoiding inhabited
areas. In cases where single houses were in the way, these were demolished.
a. From Sztalinviros in a southerly direction the line runs approximate)'
2 km..west of Dunafoldvar; 6 km. west of Paks; 7 km. off DunaszentgyiSrgy;
northwest of Sidagdrd as far as Bonyhad, round which town it passes in
the southeast.
b. Thence the line follows the road to N4dasd, though changes over at
elevation 290 to the south side of the road, continuing there for 2 km.
as far as Nagypkl; terminating in the Electricity Works in PIcsujhegy.
The capacity of the latter plant has been cons;derably increased, in
spite of the fact that in the meantime the Koml power plant (using
coke gas) has been constructed.
8. The line between Sztalinv~ros and Bonyhad is already in operation and
several transformer stations have been switched in.
9. The following branch lines run from the Sztalinve,ros-Bonyhad main:
a. to S ,rbogard and Retszilas
b. to Dunaf o ldvgr
c. to Paks
10. At Bonyhad there are two branches, one to Komlo and another to Mohacs.
