About 40 of the 50 odd villages in Stara Zagora Okolya have a TKZS (Trudovo Kooperativen Zemedelsko Stopanstvo; Labor Cooperative Agrarian Farm). Fifty to sixty percent of the farm land in Stara Zagora Okoliya has been collectivized. TKZS, Dulboki Village 2. The TKZS isn Datboki (N 42,29, `P 25,.45) owns abo#'. 3, 750 oft -tho 5'?, 000:-acre 0 of, land belonging to the village. About 125 acres of this are vineyards. The remainder is planted in grains, corn and sunflowers. In 1953, members were paid two leva and an unknown amount of produce per work day. The TKZS uses machinery of the Machine Tractor Station in Stara Zagora. The head of the TKZS is Ivan Enchev. 4. TKZS; plyu Ganchevo Village The TKZS in Kolyu Ganchevo village (N 42-23, E 26-45) owns about 275 of the 1,250 acres of land belonging to the village. About 25 acres are vineyards, 37 acres are used for vegetable growing and the remainder is used for growing grains and a small amount of sunflowers. 5. In 1953, the Kolyu Ganchevo TKZS produced 270 tons of crops. Forty-five tons were turned over to the government of which 35 tons were the share of the Stara Zagora Machine Tractor Station. The Kolyu Ganchevo TKZS has an exceptionally high income for a small cooperative. In 1953, its members received 10 leva and about three kilograms of crops for each working day. 7. The TKZS has 25-30 members. Todor -(lnu), a young Communist is the Chief of the TKZS, and Stoyan Gechev, a Communist, is the cashier. MTS, Stara Zagora 8. The Machine Tractor Station of Stara Zagora owns about 40 threshing machines, 30-40 tractors and about 10 combines. It has an excellently equipped repair shop. 9. Raynov (fnu), is the Machine Tractor Station manager. He is a Communist and a native of Gorno Botovo village (N 42-24, E 25-49). ORPS . Stara Zamora 10. The Commercial Houses and Bank Employees and Workers Union in Stara Zagora, a subordinatc: unit of ORPS (Obsht Rabotnicheski Profesionalen Stiyuz; General Workers' Professional Union), has 800-1000 members.
