At the beginning of November 1953, an order was received at the Penicillin Factory, Roztoky, from the Ministry of National Defense, to the effect that the production of aureomycin, which was just starting, was to be cancelled immediately, the production of streptomycin was to be curtailed, and all effort was to be concentrated on increasing the production of penicillin for the Army. 2. Army laboratories for research on contagious diseases are contained in the Penicillin Factory at Roztoky.
