1. The Labedy foundry is a former a'erman installation which has been en.lar. e ed-
by the Poles. Part of it is still w_id.er construction. The f.ou:~ds?y produces
steel plates, pipes, and axles for railroad cars.
2. There is also a special section for the construction of tanks. The gun barrels for
-tese tanks are furnished by the Daa.ld.on fouzidry at Stalinogrod (Katowice) .
In April 1952 the construction of a special test road was completed,, where the spm^sd
and, maneuverability of the tanks Is tested. There is also a firing -range for tars,
This. test road, is located, in the woods near the village of Przezchlebie.
3. In the spring of 1953 more tba., ~, 200 workers were dismissed from the foundry.
It is rumored. that they were disrissed:. for security reasons.
4. There are special security m.e i,sur. es at the fowadry. Workers are only permf tted,
t6ago from one section to another if they have special passes.
