1. A new airfield. is under construction at Tylewice (Tillendorf -? 052/B89).Lysiny
(Lissen), Wsdt aa, district, bordered by the towns on the south, and by the woods
and the village of Nowa Wies (Neuguth) on the north.
2,. The woods have,already been cleared in the northernn,-part of the airfield and
construction should be completed by the fall off''"19551.x.
3.. Workers. are recruited from the neighborhood and tractors furnished by the
Machine Tractor Station (Panstwowy Osrodek Maszynowy- P.ci .) at Tylewice.
A military detachment located at Nowa Wies is in charge of the construction.
4.. Source believes that the field may be used only for gliders because glider
training was being conducted. at the nearest Polish garrison in je szno in
August 1953. The soil ineszno is fertile and adapted for farming while
the soil at Wschowa is more sandy. Also, there is no area large enough
for an airfield at Leszno. there was no
material for the construction of hangars or concrete bu i ngs on the airfield.
