1. Location.
The Chinoin Factory is located in Budapgst IV (Ujpest) and is bounded by Szabad-
s&gharcosok, T 9P Amszterdam, Parisi, B sszeli, Katona Azsef, and Vir&g Streets.

a. North of Br4,sszeli Street there is a large brick tower (fop a rough sketch of
it see Annex 2) of recent construction. It is as high as the chimney, that is
approximately 130 feet. The chimney, a landmark for many years, is south of
Thy Street,
b. Approximately one third of the buildings are three or four stories high and
two thirds are one-story structures with gabled (inverted nVu) roofs.
c. The main entrance is at Ti Street 1-3. The'freight entrance is located on
Br{sszeli Street and an industrial spur from the main railroad (Lszaki, i'.e.
northern junction) also enters the area across this road.
3. Security,
The area is surrounded by a concrete wall approximately 6 ft. high, topped with
iron spikes curved inwards at the ends. There are seven or eight watchtowers
manned by factory guards.
4. Production,
The main products of the factory are pharmaceuticals,(including penicillin),
insecticides, artificial fertilizers, sulphuric acid, and veterinary articles.
5. Remarks.
No individuals in military uniform were observed anywhere near the area, nor was

anyone been wearing protective clothing or equipment. Just inside the freight
entrance there was a row of very large black metal vats.
