1. From mid-Anuary 1954 to mid-February 1954 an epidemic of grippe has plagued
the we" of Vlone, Tirana, Fier, Kava3e and LushnJe.
2. Troops stationed in the area of Vione were not'permitted to enter the city
during this period. Meanwhile, in Vlone, a city with approximately 35,000
population, schools were closed. No deaths were reported as a result of the
epidemic.
