RD THE SOURCE EVALUATIONS IN THIS REPORT ARE DEFINITIVE, THE APPRAISAL OF CONTENT IS TENTATIVE. (FOR KEY SEE REVERSE) 1. On 25 and. 26 April 1954, two radar installations similar to the SCR-270-DA type1 25X1A5- 25X1X 25X1X About 52 yards eaf>1^k of the second installation were eight medium-sized anti- aircraft gull and four anti-aircraft' machine guns which were guarded by 40 armed .soldiers. 200 yards south of the Hsiaokang Road in A Wooded area on a rise ten feet high. .There were ten rie_rby barracks which could }douse several thousand men (sic). The second radar installation was about_,a.1f a kilometer east of the first and were observed on Hsiaokang 11420/3263) Road at Chungshan (formerly Lin?Lan) Uni- versity in the village of''K'anglo (1660/2867) on Honan island, Canton. One installatiop was at the Hsiaokang School gate directly opposite a mound of earth 40 feet,~igh about 600 yards south of the public road. A small grey house, next to the inBta],lati9n was occupied by ten soldiers. During three hours of observation on two consecutive days the radar antennae turned continuously even during rain.
