1. On 25 and. 26 April 1954, two radar installations similar to the SCR-270-DA type1

About 52 yards eaf>1^k of the second installation were eight medium-sized anti-
aircraft gull and four anti-aircraft' machine guns which were guarded by 40 armed
.soldiers.
200 yards south of the Hsiaokang Road in A Wooded area on a rise ten feet high.
.There were ten rie_rby barracks which could }douse several thousand men (sic).
The second radar installation was about_,a.1f a kilometer east of the first and
were observed on Hsiaokang 11420/3263) Road at Chungshan (formerly Lin?Lan) Uni-
versity in the village of''K'anglo (1660/2867) on Honan island, Canton.
One installatiop was at the Hsiaokang School gate directly opposite a mound of
earth 40 feet,~igh about 600 yards south of the public road. A small grey house,
next to the inBta],lati9n was occupied by ten soldiers.
During three hours of observation on two consecutive days the radar antennae
turned continuously even during rain.
