As of 8 April 1954 the headquarters of a North Korean army coastal defense
unitl was at Yon.-dong (N 37-51, E 125-55) (YB-569933), in Hwanghae Province.
The unit was responsible for guarding that area of the coast bounded by_the
following: Yongmae-do (YB-560840), YB-627910, Wonu (YB-626975), and Chungsan-ni
(N 37-49, E 126.02) (BS-395894).
1. II Comment. Informant said that the unit was probably of battalion
strength.
