Concoatration Camp which was occupied by the KVP quartered an E:stililated
2/C100 Paen. Soldiers observed at the installation wore red-hordored black/
black-bordered blue, yellow-bordered black, bluo-bordered black, end red-
Loy&r,m1 green collar patches. The troops were observed cei.tn1 cor.bat
npvksmanshp training in the twos around the installation and in tho
Izn,odeo area on the Lehnitz Sluice. Several T-34/76 tanks, armored scout
cars and trucks towing 76-mm guns frequently entered or let tlic installation.
2. On. 17 end 19 April 19541 the installation was only lightly cr:clIpi.cd. No
activity was observed. On 15 April 1954, numerous KVFs, 744o were apparently
given leave over the Easter holidays, dereated from the OranientrLr3 railroad
station.
3. On 31 March 1954/ lg x 37-mm guns were perked in the KVP section cf the
concentration camp. About 500 men were obscrved at drill. On 2 Anril 1954,
6 T-34 tanks and 4 model 3A-64 armored scout cerr7, which came Troll the

that section of the concentration enLp which was occupied by the KV1-. From
30 March to 7 April 1954, 9 to 13 T-34 tanks and several model 0A-54 armored
scout cars were daily observed conducting driving school in the arell of the
installation and on the tank training ground. Every mornng at 431O a.q.,
four tracks each carrying 20 nen travelled to the target ranges near the
bl-ickyard.
Oqnrent.. Previous -..nfernation ind5cates that the medium tank .2i,--,viment
and component units or th,:, 1st Mech Regt of the Potsdam Mech Div ar& stationed
at the former concentration camp. The other component units of the nechanized
ri1;:ent are stationed at the former SS Ka3eraes beside the concentration camp.
Th3 observations rentionei in the present ferort do not rale it possible to
differentiate between the two regiments. It is 'relieved that the troops
quartered in the installation were fairly correctly estimated at about 2,000
