1. In March 1954 a group of 18 Rumanian technicians left Rumania for
Communist. China. They had signed up for a service period of three
years. ;,r. ;
20 A similar group, comprising approximately, 120 technij'jans, is reported
to be prep"olring to leave Rumania shortly for Communist China.
Some of the technicians are reported to have volunteered`for this service
in the hope of finding a way to escape from Communist China to the West.
