The trousers of,. eir uniforms were Persian blue and their SUN Yat-sen- style jackets,, khaki-colored., They wore badges over their left breast pockets with to characters Huai Hai (3232/3189) and Tuchiang (3256/ 3068) on them. a military train of 32 cars arrived in hanc hai from Nanking. X0 the cars were loaded with Chinese Communist army troops. The rest were loaded with from 17 to 20 horses each. Two soldiers guarded each car. 25X.1A 1. IIIIIIIIIIII[Comment. Judging from their uniforms', these troops were proba "lay Chinese Communist air force personnel. Since air units have been stationed in the Shanghai and Nanking areas for some time, no reason is apparent for the stir these troops reportedly caused. Possibly~'a'neiw issue of smarter uniforms was made in January 2. CQmpient. These were probably commemorative badges for the Huaiyin-Huaichou campaign and the Yangtze River crossing.
