1? During January and February 1954 there were between 50 and 60 jet air-
craft on Wuming (N 23-12, E 108-15) Airfield. The airfield, which was
completed in April 1953, cover=-T

warehouses and dispersal areas.
2~ During February 1954 Nanning Airfield was used by commercial transports
and Chinese Communist army supply planes. There were no jet aircraft on
the field.

Indochina border. It is considered unlikely that the presence of a
major tactical air unit at Wuming since January could remain undetected.
