1. There are two parts to the Infantry combat Regulations (Bo evo Ustav Pekhoty)
which are called BUP, Part 1, and AUP, Part 2. SUP, Part 1

~. Prior to World War II, the regulations were not classified. However,
there was written or stamped on the cover: "For Official Use Only.

~+. Copies filter gradually down to units. A company, for example, may not receive
the regulations until perhaps six months after publication. The. commanding
officer of each unit keeps the regulations in his possession but the soldiers
are permitted to read the regulations whenever they wish and, in fact, are
encouraged to read them. Platoon comtnandexs and higher-are required to know
the regulations well..
