1. Town Description of Treemeseto (N 52-34, E 17-50)
a. Area Data

The immediate surTounlings of the town consist of 25% peat bogs and
meadows, 35% eultivaterlfields end 40% water.' Large wooded areas are
situated 3 kilometers to the north and about 15 kilometers south of
Trsemeezno. Prevailing winds are from the east.
b. Streets and Vain Bards
The main street and thoroughfare is ul, Stalina (formerly el. Sw. Vidhala).
Within the town the street is made of granite cobblestone, while be-
yond the town limits, in the direction of Gniezno (N 52-33,,E 17-36)
and Nogilno (N 52-e0s 1; 17-58), it is paved with aephalt. the remain-
ing streets in town era paved with field. stones. The average width of
the streets in town is from 5 to 7 meters, Conditions of the roads are
bad- One causeway, from Trzemeszno to the small village of Meat has
been eonstreeted since the war.

a. Trzemeszno is a town of approximately 5,000 inhabitants. The majority of
the populace* is Catholic and very pious. When religious services are
scheduled, the Party authorities arrange for various amusements and enter-
tAnment, hoping in this way to draw the multitude away fraa the church.

Positive signs of this are the tearing down of official proclamations and
