1. As of March 1954, eighty percent of he production of wolfram in Kwangtung
Province was being sent to the USSR. The remaining twenty percent was
being exchanged by the authorities for strategic material.
2. At the end of February, 290 young men, newli graduated from the Technical
School at Canton, were sent to North China. They are to be employed in
variOIa chemical factories at Shanghai, Tientsin, Mukden, and Hsian (N 34-16,
E 1-8-54).
