A third line of fortifications was observed on Bulgarian territory at the Turkish border, between Lyubimets and Svilengrad, on both sides of the railway track. It includes underground gun emplacements and an antitank trench. 2. On 7 May 1954, two companies of Trudovake were working on fortifications in the fields near this line. Lumber and sacks of cement were observed at the Svilengrad railroad station. Antiaircraft Battery in Mesdra (Date of Information: 9 May 1954) 3. An antiaircraft battery with at least one searchlight is located approximately one kilometer from the railway station of Mesdra. Military Activity in the Vakarel-Ikhtiman Area (Date of Information: 2 May 1954) 4. The Vskarel-Ikhtiman-Kostenets area is entirely unoccupied by troops. 5.
