1, During World 1^!ar II, the road bridge over the Dnepr River ,,.n the Kiev -
Darnitsa - Borispal highway was destroyed, The bridge wa3 nopth of the rail-
road bridge and south of anoti.er road bridge which ~.s on the Kiev - Brovar,;
highway, The bridge was reconstructed and opened to tl^affic in November 1953.
It is not known whether the bridge has a special namett? the. Soviets general.l;y*
refer to it as the new bridge, (See sketch or, page 2),
2, The bridge is a steel truss bridge resting on reinfor~~ed concrete piers. (See
