The GheorghiU Deb (former Ganz) Shipyard in Budapest is engaged in building the following 1,100-ton vessels for the USSR: Hull 46 - GEDOV 47 - GOMEL 48 - GOLM 49 - CIS TRIN Before delivery each vessel has an 8-hour trip on the Danube fully loaded. 2. The Ganz yard employs 2,500 workers. At the end of March 1954, two floating cranes, each of 150 tons capacity, were completed there for delivery to the USSR. The Polish passenger ship under construction there has been launched. 3. The Obuda shipyard employs 1,500 men and is building only small river craft. 4.
