Additional construction was observed on an underground air raid shelter generally situated under a park located about one and one-half to two miles north of the eastern harbor mole at Burgas. Informant observed quantitites of cement, sand, and atone in this area plus activity by a labor force. This shelter is accessible from the following positions a. In the southwest part of the park at a point where a road leading out from the harbor area terminates; the gates or doors at this entrance have not been in- stalled; b. At a casino or restaurant about one mile along the coast to the northeast of the harbor; and c. At two unascertained positions along the beach to the right and left of the casino or restaurant. 2. Two pipe lines, each with a diameter of 20 centimeters, extend along the southern breakwater and eastern mole from a point about 10 meters from the southwest tip of the southern breakwater to the fuel storage depot located to the northwest of the'harbor area. One of these pipes is used to carry gasoline and the other crude oil. 30 Informant observed camouflaged guns positions along a half-mile sector of coast to the northeast of the harbor. It could not be ascertained whether these posi- tions contained any coast defense guns or antiaircraft artillery. The area marked No. 1 on the sketch enclosed herewith as an Appendix, page 2, has been filled in and construction in this area is still going on.
