1. The Zverinek plant of Asbestos, Ga ional Enterprise, is located in the village of
Zverinek, south of nburk (05V20).
2. Buildings (Letters refer to Annex B):
C. Boiler house and engine room. In the engine room are steam engines for
emergency production of electric current in case of a breakdown in the main
supply
D. A brick one-story building, used as workshops. One part of this building is
used as a rubber workshop and the other for the production of bopper asbestos
gaskets. This section also produces paper and is used as a drying room.
Insulating plates are manufactured here,
E. A brick two-story building. On the ground floor is a rubber workahop.Iith
mixing vats and vulcanising presses. On the first floor are mills for
grinding asbestos and storage space for asbestos.
a..A two-story brick building. On the ground floor are administrative offices
and on the second floor are apartments for employees.
H. Brick one-story building contgttning technical offices.
T. New workshop built in 1952. A. brick one-story building used solely for the
production of copper asbestos gaskets,

Until" e`factory was also producing rubber goods, such as floor mats for
cars, fo for motorcycles, and tires fT*opze, motorcycles land bicycles.
Production of these is gradually being transfer d to Gottwaldov. At the
present time no tires whatever are being manufactured here.
4. The main raw material, asbestos, used to be imported mainly from Canada and the
R. Since 1948 however, it'has only been imported from the USSR. Sand is

is n67t*nown. It arrives by train at a station of Sadeka or Horatevand from
there is ?hauled to the factory in trucks.
5. The factory owns the following; vehicles: 3 three-ton trucks, 3 tractors, 3 trailers,
1 bus.
6-. The main customers are Skoda, Tatre,and Praga.
7. The total number of emplolrees, including office workers, is about 500, of whom

nearly 300 are women. They work two shifts.
The factory has its own fire brigade and fire engine, which is kept in the garage.
Members of the fire brigade are workers in the factory.
